    SPOKANE, Wash. - A 17-year-old Spokane boy is dead after drowning in the Spokane River Thursday night. The Kootenai County Sheriff's Office and multiple agencies responded to a reported drowning in the Black Bay area of the Spokane River around 10:16 pm. Witnesses said several teenagers were swimming in the river, and that the 17-year-old yelled that he could not swim any more. Witnesses told Kootenai County Sheriff's Deputies they saw the teenager go underwater and he did not come back up.More >>
