Soaking Rain Event On the Way!

Wednesday: A MUCH calmer start to the day than yesterday...might run across some fog but that's about the only highlight as temperatures are staying above freezing. Expect cloudy skies today, but starting to see some rain by tonight (more on that below) High: 43° (Green)

Wednesday Night: Tropical moisture moving from South to North makes its way onto the lower basin by this evening...could see rain starting around Spokane as early as 9-10pm. Low: 36° (Yellow)

Thursday: Get ready for a SOAKER of a day on Thursday. Chance of moderate to heavy rain across the entire forecast area as we see a combination of tropical moisture coming from the south and a cold front coming from the west. That looks to account for between .25"-.50" of rain for many locations...parts of the northern panhandle could see up to 1"! Heaviest rain looks to be from mid-late morning through early afternoon.High: 45° (Yellow)

    MARIETTA, Ga. - A police officer in Georgia is being called a hero after he saved the life of a 2-year-old who stopped breathing. The rescue was captured on the officer's patrol car dash camera. The dash camera video of the May 15 rescue in Marietta was released Thursday. The baby's grandmother called 11 after the infant started choking and turning blue while feeding on a bottle.

    NEW YORK (AP) - The makers of "Sesame Street" are suing the promoter of a new Melissa McCarthy movie, saying it's abusing the famed puppets' sterling reputation to advertise the film.    A judge Friday scheduled a hearing next week to consider a request for immediate relief by Sesame Workshop, which sued Thursday in federal court for unspecified damages.

    HONOLULU (AP) - Engineers say damage to the USS Arizona Memorial at Pearl Harbor in Honolulu was worse than expected and it will remain closed indefinitely.    Hawaii News Now reports boat transportation to the attraction was suspended May 6 after one of the vessel operators noticed a crack on the outside of the memorial.
