Wednesday Weather Update:
Soaking Rain Event On the Way!

Wednesday: A MUCH calmer start to the day than yesterday...might run across some fog but that's about the only highlight as temperatures are staying above freezing. Expect cloudy skies today, but starting to see some rain by tonight (more on that below) High: 43° (Green)

Wednesday Night: Tropical moisture moving from South to North makes its way onto the lower basin by this evening...could see rain starting around Spokane as early as 9-10pm. Low: 36° (Yellow)

Thursday: Get ready for a SOAKER of a day on Thursday. Chance of moderate to heavy rain across the entire forecast area as we see a combination of tropical moisture coming from the south and a cold front coming from the west. That looks to account for between .25"-.50" of rain for many locations...parts of the northern panhandle could see up to 1"! Heaviest rain looks to be from mid-late morning through early afternoon.High: 45° (Yellow)

SPOKANE COUNTY, Wash. - Brenna Meredith described the feeling like being in a car accident. “I couldn’t avoid it and my car just thumped on the ground,” said Meredith. “And I was like oh my gosh that’s not good.” Meredith wasn’t in a car accident, she ran over a massive pothole on Regal St. near 57th Ave. “I broke my rim, I broke a piece of my bumper off, all the air was instantly gone out of my tire,”

SACRAMENTO, Calif. (AP) - A fresh effort is underway to split California into multiple states, one including its coastal cities and the other its rural and inland areas.    "New California" is just the latest proposal to divvy up the nation's most populous state. But like efforts before it, it's highly unlikely to gain significant traction.
