Burglary/300 blk N Quincy- Complainant reported he and his wife awoke this morning
to find the rear sliding glass door of the residence was damaged and no longer secured
as it had been left. Upon inspecting the residence, they discovered that his wife's purse
which contained several envelopes containing cash was missing. No leads or suspects at
this time. Latent prints were recovered at the scene. Case is pending print analysis.

Burglary/3400 blk W 1st Pl- Complainant reported that on 11/01/13, he went to
Starbucks for a coffee. He returned 20 minutes later to find a neighbor, a 23 year old
male, standing in his living room. The neighbor told the complainant he heard a loud
thump, and thought that he fell and needed help. Complainant told the neighbor to
leave, which he did. A couple of days later, he realized that a piggy bank containing
about $30 in change was missing. He suspected the neighbor and went to his
apartment to question him. While there, he saw his piggy bank. Officer Taylor
contacted the suspect, who confessed to taking the piggy bank and money. Suspect was
booked into the Benton County Jail for Residential Burglary.

Assist/900 blk W Canal Dr- WSP attempted to stop a vehicle for speeding at SR395 and
7th Avenue. It failed to yield and a pursuit was initiated. The vehicle blew a tire in the
900 blk W Canal Dr and the driver fled on foot. KPD and BCSO responded to assist and
containment was set up. K9 Officer Kohn was called out to assist. A track was initiated
but was terminated once it was determined the suspect was not in the area. It
appeared the suspect got on the Union Pacific RR track and ran west along the tracks
prior to containment getting set up. The suspect is the registered owner of the vehicle.
WSP towed the car. Registered owner called dispatch later from an unknown location,
trying to report his car stolen. He was told to contact WSP to make the report.
