KENNEWICK, WA - The oldest wine festival in the Northwest is already underway, at least the behind the scenes work.
Five judges are hard at work tasting, and scoring 385 wines from Washington, Oregon, and Idaho. About 75 different wineries entered, in all.
It all culminates Saturday night for the 35th Annual Tri-Cities Wine Festival.
"One of the reasons we do that, do the festival, is to showcase this industry, what the Northwest has to offer, what our local area has to offer, the restaurants that are supporting us, as well. So it's just a great event," said Mary Binder, Tri-Cities Wine Society.
You can buy tickets at the door or on Ticketmaster. They include all the wine, beer, and food at the festival. The winners will also be announced and there's also a silent auction to benefit the Wine Society's education fund.
