Washington State Women to Open Season With Syracuse

The Washington State women's basketball team will open their season at home against Syracuse this Sunday, Nov. 10, at 1:00 p.m.

The Cougars will look to improve on last season's 11-20, 6-12 in the Pac-12 finish. Lia Galdeira and Tia Presley will lead the way for WSU. Galdeira was 7th in scoring in the Pac-12 with 14.8 points per game, which was good enough to be second in the country behind University of Central Florida guard Breanna Jackson's 15.0 ppg. Presley averaged 13.3 ppg and played even better in Pac-12 play where she scored 15.7 ppg. The duo will be joined in the backcourt by Dawnyelle Awa and forwards, Sage Romberg and Shalie Dheenshaw.

Washington State will travel to Seattle University and play Nov. 12, before traveling to Hawaii to play in the Bank of Hawaii Rainbow Wahine Classic starting on the 15th of the month.
