Monday (Nov. 11)

Veterans Day Ceremony - We will honor our veterans of all eras and thank them for their selfless service and sacrifices. Col. Brian Newberry, 92nd Air Refueling Wing commander, will speak and pay tribute to the nation's veterans and all who continue to selflessly serve the country. Hayden Veterans Day Parade - 10 a.m., Grand Marshall will be local veteran David Sheldon, featuring an A10 fly-over by the Idaho Air National Guard. Ceremony follows at 11 a.m. with Army veterans John and Stacey Holley of Post Falls as speakers. Hayden City Hall, PFC Robert J. Gordon Veterans Memorial Plaza, 8930 N. Government Way. Free. Author Carol Hipperson - Veterans Day event presenting "Radioman: An Eyewitness Account of Pearl Harbor and World War II in the Pacific," to support our local Pearl Harbor survivors. These amazing men will be in the store to sign copies of Radioman and answer questions. Honor Flight representatives will also be in the store selling their recently Grammy-nominated CD, In Your Honor. Veterans Day Dinner - Hosted by the University of Idaho's Graduate and Professional Student Association, featuring keynote speaker Col. Robert Wakefield. Veterans and guest admission is free. All proceeds remaining from the event will be donated to the UI's Operation Education.     MOSES LAKE, Wash. - Early Saturday morning, Grant County Sheriff's deputies responded to multiple calls of a drive-by shooting and shots fired in the 1200 block of Doolittle in the Larson Housing area. While patrol vehicles were in the area within minutes, no suspects were located. No one was injured. A home and vehicle were shot. A vague vehicle description hindered use of area cameras in order to make better identification.

    One person is dead following a police-involved shooting on the 400 block of Bunting Street in Billings Southside Saturday. Five officers have been placed on administrative leave as per officer-involved shooting protocol. Police Chief Rich St. John says that the deceased is a 24-year-old Native American male with addresses listed in Billings and Hardin.
