Newly Appointed Consulate of Mexico Touring the Tri-Cities

NBCRightNow.com - The Tri-Cities will host a special guest from the Mexican government this weekend.

This Friday and Saturday the newly appointed consulate of Mexico will be touring the Tri-Cities.

Consulate Eduardo Baca will hold various meetings with local officials, community leaders, and business leaders with the goal of furthering trade and investment relations between Mexico and eastern Washington. His visit will include the Pacific Northwest National Laboratory, Port of Pasco, the Pasco Development Authority, and he will hold a forum on immigration and community issues.

Mr. Baca is a career diplomat who was previously deputy assistant secretary for North American Affairs responsible for Mexico's relations with the U.S. And Canada.
