Gonzaga Women Battle It Out With Idaho

The Bulldog women opened their season with a 64-56 win over Idaho at the Kennel on Friday night. 

Haiden Palmer posted game highs in points and steals with 18 and seven, respectively, Palmer also nabbed seven rebounds as she did it all for Gonzaga. Keani Albanez added 13 points and was 3-7 from behind the arc, while Kiara Kurdon scored six points and a game-high 11 rebounds to help the Zags prevail. 

The Vandals' Alyssa Charlston ended up a rebound away from a double-double with nine boards and scored a team-high 15 points in the loss. Christina Salvatore dropped in 14 and was 4 of 11 from down town for Idaho. 

Gonzaga's next game will be at home against University of Tennessee- Martin on Sunday at 2:00 p.m. PT. The Skyhawks earned the right to play the Bulldogs by defeating Georgia State 84-80 on Friday night.  

Idaho will play Georgia State, time and date TBA.
