YAKIMA, WA. -- Bikers got together in Yakima again this week to help raise toys for families in need this Christmas.
Last week was the Salvation Army Toy Run. This week the Harley Davidson Chapter in Yakima hosted the Hog Run. Bikers brought toys and fundraised for the YWCA. Over 400 bikes participated in the run that shut down parts of Yakima Avenue Sunday afternoon.
"Ah it's awesome," organizer Duane Worrell said. "You get that warm feeling. You're putting something back in the community. Nobody is getting paid to do this. You got to put something back."
Volunteers say this event has been running annually for over 20 years. The YWCA plans to sponsor over 75 families for the holidays.
