BENTON COUNTY, WA - People in Benton County have the chance this week to possibly influence their future utility bills.
Benton PUD will hold the first of three public "round table" meetings in Prosser Tuesday night, November 12th.
Members of the community can talk with the PUD about several different issues, including distributed generation and solar power, the Energy Independence Act and energy efficiency, as well as broadband services.
Benton PUD Communications Manager, Karen Miller says the public input from the meetings will help the Utility decide how to address these issues in the future.
"As we go forward on these strategic plan issues," Miller said, "there's a lot that impacts the utility, which impacts our customers, so we really appreciate having our customers give us input on how we're doing and their thoughts on these issues."
The first meeting Tuesday night is from 5:30 PM to 7:00 PM at the Benton PUD Auditorium in Prosser.
The final two meetings will be at the Benton PUD Auditorium in Kennewick on Monday, November 18th from 5:30 PM to 7:00 PM, and Tuesday, November 19th from 8:00 AM to 9:30 AM.
