YAKIMA, WA -- Many people in Yakima paid their respects Monday afternoon at a gathering held at the Korean and Vietnam Memorial Monument at Sarg Hubbard Park.

A non-profit group called Combat Veterans United takes care of the monuments. Three names were recently added to the "War on Terror" headstone, and veterans said they want to remember their brothers and sisters who never made it back home.

"It's a choice you have to make in your life if you want to stand up for what's right or if you just kind of want to go with the crowd," said Bryan Gerken, a Combat Veteran. "I'm sad they're gone, but I'm extremely proud of them."

Many speakers talked about the importance of putting returning Veterans back to work, saying they gave to us and now it's our turn to give back to them.
