Stolen Harley Davidson Motorcycles

Summary of Incident: Kennewick, Wa.
Three Harley Davidson motorcycles have been stolen in Kennewick in the last 30 days. This is an unusual amount of motorcycle thefts in a short period of time. These are the first Harley Davidson motorcycles we have had stolen this year. We took no stolen Harley Davidson motorcycle reports in all of 2012

13-32271 – Stolen Motor Cycle / 1205 W 1st Ave
Joshua Hall was storing his black & red 1983 Harley Davidson motorcycle with ape hanger handle bars (WA/2C2820) in a shed at this location. The motorcycle did not run, but is now missing from the property. It would have been removed sometime in the last few weeks.

13-35979 – Vehicle Theft / 437 S. Anderson

Russell Martin reported, sometime during the night someone entered his backyard and stole his Harley Davidson Dyna Low Rider black in color motorcycle, WA license 7A2111. The bike was parked on the back cement patio in the back yard. Martin advised the gate to the back yard did not have a lock and the motorcycle itself was specialized and did not need a key to start. Martin said he and his girlfriend were at the house sleeping during this time and did not hear anything suspicious. Martin said the only thing distinguishable about the motorcycle is that it has ape hanger handle bars. This motorcycle was recovered by the Benton County Sheriff's Office yesterday (November 12, 2013) in the Snake River near Two Rivers Boat Launch. Only the motorcycle frame was recovered

13-36467 – Vehicle Theft / 6825 W. Kennewick Ave, #5

Aaron Tribbett reported, sometime during the night, unknown suspects stole his Candy Apple Red 2012 Harley Davidson Sportster (Model:XL1200), WA License plate 0C6614 with aftermarket handlebars. Tribbett reported the front wheel was locked and the MC that weighs approx. 700lbs would have had to of been carried away from the location. The vehicle had been left outside near the victim's front door.
The Kennewick Police encourage anyone with a motorcycle to keep it secure inside a locked garage when not attended.
We can speculate at this time that these three motorcycle thefts may be related. The cases are still under investigation.
