He roared as a Lion, we'll see if he can come through as a Cougar.
Before he became a stand-out Kennewick high school baseball
player, J.J. Hancock already had a good idea of where he wanted to play college
In three years of varsity ball playing for the Lions, Hancock
has never hit below .400. He has racked up 87 hits and 44 RBI's with the Lions.
Today he signed the paperwork to head east and play for Washington State.
He says he had to look no further than his immediate family
to make his decision.
"My grandpa used to write for them, always went to the
football games. And it's just a great campus. Love it, love the life. Love
crimson and gray. Always have, always been my love. Knew the fight song before I
knew the alphabet," he said.
