WEST RICHLAND, WA - They're competitors in the marketplace, but joined forces in October to help feed hungry families.

Organizers say the 12th Annual Octoberfest Food Drive was one of their best ever. Toyota of Tri-Cities, Russ Dean Family RV, and McCurley Integrity Dealerships all teamed up with Yoke's Fresh Market to collect food and cash donations to help the area's food banks.

On Thursday, they presented a check for more than $33,000.

it's great, actually it takes a long time to deliver it.  It takes a long time for these guys to raise this much food and to show up one day with a trailer load is pretty cool.  Hope to crush that 33 thousand dollars next year," said Sheldon Cragun with West Richland Yoke's Fresh Market.

This is the most money the food drive has ever raised. The proceeds will benefit the Tri-Cities Food Banks, the Salvation Army, the Union Gospel Mission, St. Vincent de Paul, and the Golden Age Food Source.
