Pasco Police Arrest BB Gun Vandals at Memorial Park

Posted: Updated:

PASCO, WA - Pasco Police say they have arrested four people for vandalizing Memorial Park.

Pasco Police say three boys and 18-year-old Eduardo Rio used BB Guns to shoot out street lights, park lights and windows in and around the park along the 300 block of North 14th.

Throughout the week, police say they've taken reports from businesses and car owners about damaged windows throughout the city.

Officers say when they arrived at Memorial park Thursday night, they heard what they thought were shots going off inside the park.

At the same time, police say they saw four people running from the park in different directions. Officer spent the next thirty minutes chasing them down in the surrounding neighborhoods.

Police finally caught them and arrested the three boys for malicious mischief, and booked Rio into the Franklin County Jail on felony malicious mischief charges.

Officers say they recovered a CO2 Air pistol, pellets and backpack, left behind by the four people.

Multiple street and park lights were damaged in and around the park from air gun pellets.
