Posted: Updated:

PRESS RELEASE FROM THE SPOKANE COUNTY SHERIFF'S OFFICE: On November 7th, 2013, at 11:00 a.m., a teacher at East Farms School (26203 E. Rowan Avenue) observed a male who appeared to be taking pictures of students through a classroom window, yelled some profanities and then run from the area.

A Spokane County Sheriff's deputy and a Liberty Lake Police officer were unable to locate the individual. The next day at 8:30 a.m., the male was seen on the sidewalk in front of the school but he was not located by the responding deputy and officer.

On November 13th at 8:00 p.m., a parent arrived at the school to pick up children from an event and noticed a suspicious male standing in front of the school smoking a cigarette, in an area where children were outside playing on the grass.

She said the male she observed appeared to match the description of the male from the previous week. The male is described as white, in his 20s-30s, short, dirty blonde, some facial hair, wearing an olive green coat with patches on it.

Extra patrols in the area of the school will continue. Deputy Streltzoff is asking anyone who can help identify this male to call him at 509-241-5285.

>>>Citizens are urged to call Crime Check at 509-456-2233 if they observe this male or any suspicious person(s) in the area of the school.

COEUR D'ALENE, Idaho -The Coeur d'Alene Police Department responded to a bomb threat at the K-Mart on W. Neider Avenue Wednesday afternoon. The call however appeared to be a hoax. Police say K-Mart got a phone call from someone with a "thick accent" who said "I've placed a bomb in K-Mart" and demanded they put money on a pre-paid card for him. He said if they didn't he would blow up the store. Police showed up and found nothing.More >>
