Richland, WA - Some residents in Richland woke to shaking on Sunday. A small earthquake rattled the north part of town, but no damage was reported.
It all happened around 7 a.m. so most people we spoke with did not even feel the quake, but in north Richland it was a quick scare.
"Since we were in bed still we just felt the bed shaking," said Dio Celina a Richland resident. "We got up and were like....what's going on? But it didn't last that long."
The quake centered around the same fault line that produced a 3.4 magnitude quake two years ago according to Pacific Northwest National Laboratory officials. Currently the Department of Energy is running assessments of the danger of an earthquake at the Hanford nuclear reservation.
