FIRST ON KHQ: Brad McQuarrie, the General Manager with Mt. Spokane has announced that as long as the weather cooperates, there is now enough snow on the mountain to open for business! As long as it doesn't rain, Mt. Spokane will open this Saturday, November 23rd!

    VENICE - Italian Eyob Faniel won the Venice Marathon on Sunday after a bizarre incident in which the leading six runners took a wrong turn. Favorites Abdulahl Dawud, Gilbert Kipleting Chumba, Kipkemei Mutai and David Kiprono Metto were among the leading group which followed a motorcycle off the course after 25 kilometers (16 miles).

    WASHINGTON - U.S. Sen. John McCain has issued a veiled criticism of President Donald Trump's medical deferments that kept him from serving in the Vietnam War. In an interview with C-SPAN last week, McCain lamented that the military "drafted the lowest income level of America and the highest income level found a doctor that would say they had a bone spur."

This week, he launches a seventh expedition into the wilds of Myanmar to search for the pink-headed duck that hasn't been seen alive since 1949, and that was in India. No one has seen the bird alive in Myanmar in more than a century.
