CH2M HILL Awards $1-Billion to Small Businesses

RICHLAND, WA – Since 2008, U.S. Department of Energy contractor CH2M HILL Plateau Remediation Company has awarded more than $1-Billion in contracts to small businesses.

The $1-Billion exceeded all requirements and goals for contracting with small businesses during the first five years of its contract to clean up the Hanford Site's Central Plateau.

CH2M HILL's contract with DOE requires small businesses to perform at least 17% of the total 10-year contract price, but the contractor exceeded the minimum 17% and hit 28% of the contract price to-date.

Of the $1-Billion, approximately $670 million was awarded to local small businesses in Benton, Franklin and Yakima Counties.
