Kennewick Traffic Control workers prepare for a new round of detours along 45th Avenue.
KENNEWICK, WA - Drivers will need to keep an eye out for a new batch of detour signs starting Tuesday.
Kennewick street crews start work on phase two of the 45th Street Improvement Project. Starting Tuesday, drivers won't be able to use 45th Avenue between Ely Street and Conway Street.
People who live off Conway in Inspiration Estates will need to take South Vancouver to get to work in the morning and get home in the evening.
The city says it should finish the work by Thanksgiving Day.
Next Monday And Tuesday, November 25 and 26, the city will close the intersection of Ely Street and 45th Avenue from 7 a.m. and 5 p.m. each day while workers install utility lines. People who live in Lakeview Ranchettes will need to use Canyon Lakes Drive and Ledbetter Street.
The public works department says the new roundabout at 45th and Olympia Street should open early next year.
