Statewide Election Turnout Low, Yakima County Has Lowest Numbers

The Secretary of State's office said that turnout for November's election was the lowest it's been in a decade. The Secretary of State's office said that turnout for November's election was the lowest it's been in a decade.

YAKIMA, WA -- The Secretary of State's office said that turnout for November's election was the lowest it's been in a decade.

The latest data shows that only about 44 percent of voters cast ballots.

Turnout was the lowest in Yakima County coming in at 37.5 percent. Jefferson County had the highest turnout at nearly 65 percent.
