PASCO, WA -- The Los Canarios band, based out of Pasco, wants people at home to know they dedicate their Latin Grammy nominations to all their hometown support.

After many years of hard work, they're nominated for two Latin Grammys in the Norteno category for Album of the Year and Song of the Year.

Band members call their music like Latin country and a fusion between accordion, harp, guitar and drums.

The band started 14 years ago and says their dedication paid off, but they couldn't do it without the Tri-Cities community.

"To be able to represent Washington in this manor, it's an honor. That's great people, hard working people and we're doing all this of them," said Valentin Castillo, Los Canarios drummer.

Castillo also said the band already feels like winners just for being nominated.

And they hope their success inspires other Tri-Cities musicians to stick with their craft and dream big.

The Latin Grammys will be televised on Univision Thursday night at 8pm.
