YAKIMA, WA. -- A two-day Christmas Tree Festival fundraiser finished up Saturday afternoon.
The Living Care Retirement Community hosted the Festival of Trees which raised more than $30,000 to build a new healthcare center. The event included thirty-three fully decorated trees to bid on in an auction.
"We wanted to have a really special event that our residents and their families could enjoy but also to bring the community in as well," Amy Flynn Director of Fund Development for the Retirement Community said.
The festival also had real reindeer, live local bands and free hot chocolate.
