Four Basin City Men Arrested for Multiple Burglaries

BASIN CITY, WA - Deputies from the Franklin County Sheriff's Office have arrested four men connected to more than 10 reported burglaries and 13 reports of theft at several farms and residences in Basin City.

According to deputies, 18-year-old Jamie Farfan, 19-year-old Abel Perez, 44-year-old Eusturgio Perez Saucedo and 25-year-old Bolivar Galvan-Ambriz stole 25 industrial lead-acid batteries from tractors and semi-trucks at several farms in Basin City; often leaving the tractors and semi-trucks with damage.

Deputies say over 25 industrial batteries were recovered, along with several items reported to have been stolen from residences in Basin City.

Farfan is charged with theft, Perez is charged with theft and distributing stolen property, Saucedo is charged with unlawful possession of a firearm and Galvan-Ambriz is charged with unlawful possession of a firearm and possession of stolen property.

Since the arrest of the four men, there has only been one reported theft in Basin City.

    RICHLAND- Detectives are investigating after a man was jumped Saturday afternoon on a Richland bike path. The 22-year-old said he was in the area of Bellerive Drive and Steptoe Street around 11 a.m. when it happened.
