YAKIMA, WA - Do billboards you drive by ever bother you?

That's the question the Yakima Planning Commission is asking the public to answer on December 11th. The commission is hosting a public workshop to hear feedback on the current Yakima billboard moratorium limiting new signs to under 70 square feet.

People we talked to didn't think the current signs were much of a problem.

"No I don't think they're a problem at all because I don't pay attention to them unless they're eye popping," Amanda Batten said.

"If I was a business and they were to make the billboards smaller I would kind of get mad because people might not be able to see it," Armando Perez said. "That would be bad for business."

In October the Yakima City Council voted to extend the moratorium on billboards until April. The council wants to do more research before making a final decision.
