Interstate 90 Reopens from Ellensburg to North Bend

UPDATE: The Washington State Department of Transportation has reopened Interstate 90 from Ellensburg to North Bend as of 7:00 Monday morning. 

 

The DOT closed I-90 for several hours because of strong winds and falling trees.

The Washington State Patrol says a semi-truck hit a tree 5 miles west of Easton. Paramedics took the driver to a hospital in Ellensburg.

Troopers said there were four collisions on the east side of the pass where the roadway was covered with snow and slush.

ELLENSBURG, WA - Drivers near Ellensburg may want to avoid Interstate 90 Monday morning. 

The Washington State Department of Transportation has closed I-90 from North Bend (milepost 34) to Ellensburg (milepost 106) in both directions, because of strong winds and tree removal.  

The DOT says crews hope to reopen the roadway by 7:00 AM.
