Scheduling Could Delay Second Trial for Richland Nanny

Posted: Updated:

KENNEWICK, WA. -A woman accused of manslaughter in the death of a one-year-old child should find out this month when she goes on trial.

A jury this past spring couldn't reach a verdict in the first trial of Kelli Jacobsen, 29. She was Ryder Morrison's nanny when the Richland boy died in June of 2011.

The coroner determined the boy died of head trauma, which doctors say could have occurred up to 24 hours before the boy was taken to the hospital.

Jacobsen's second trial has been tentatively scheduled for January, but attorneys say it might need to be reset because of scheduling conflicts of witnesses and experts.
