Kennewick Police Department: Daily Briefing: Sunday, December 1, 2013

C-Shift
 
Burglary/900 blk N Cleveland St-
Complainant reported that she had money taken from
her purse. She had reported a similar incident about a week ago. She has questionable
people at her residence. She thinks that a male, who has been at her apartment, may
be taking her money. The male has 7 warrants for his arrest and was not located. One
of the items reported stolen was a pre-paid money card. Through investigation it was
found that this card was used at the Circle K at Canal & Edison. Video shows two
Hispanic females using the stolen card. Victim did not recognize the photos of the
females. Investigation is ongoing.
 
Warrant Arrest/2300 blk W 1st Ave-
Officers contacted a female as part of a disturbance
at this location. She was arrested & booked on local warrant.
 
Warrant Arrest/1800 blk W 12th Ave-
Officers contacted a male who was involved in a
disturbance with his mother. He had 5 felony warrants which provided a solution to the
incident. He was arrested and booked on his warrants.
 

A-Shift
 
Theft/300 blk W 48th Ave-
Complainant reported that two vehicles at his residence were
prowled over the past few days. An unknown suspect stole a Honda generator out of
the back of his work truck and a wallet out of his son's vehicle. The generator was not
secured in the truck and the son's car was left unlocked.
 
Theft/2700 blk S Quillan St
- Loss Prevention observed 3 males enter the store and
select beer. The males then attempted to leave the store without paying. Two of the
males were detained and were identified. They were booked for the theft. Shortly after
the theft call we received an assist call from Umatilla SO. They advised a vehicle had
been stolen and requested we check an address for it. Umatilla SO stated they believed
one of the theft suspects was the one who stole it. Officer Rees checked the parking lot
and located the vehicle. His property was searched at the jail and the keys were
recovered. He admitted to driving the vehicle and stated his sister had given him
permission as well as the keys. Umatilla is charging him with the auto theft.
