Yakima Holds Final Public Meeting To Finalize 2014 Budget

Posted: Updated:

YAKIMA, WA-- Yakima's city council wants to hear your opinion Tuesday night about their updated budget for 2014.

The city council made some adjustments to the proposed budget.

They want to spend almost $3 million on public safety, which includes expanding the bike and foot patrols and adding more police training.

They also made changes to the street improvement project, and will now use $2 million from a debt service fund.

Tuesday's meeting is the public's last chance to comment on next year's budget before it is finalized.
