Nearly $35 Million Will Go Toward Cleaning Up Yakima's Image in 2014

YAKIMA, WA.--Yakima's City Council has committed to spending nearly $35 million next year to improve the city's appearance.

Around $16 million will go toward road work alone.

More money will be spent on improving North First Street and removing graffiti.

Citizen survey results shows people are unhappy with Yakima's appearance, and the city said they're determined to clean up Yakima's image.
