PASCO, WA - It's been a community resource for more than 50 years and now they're asking for your help. The Pasco Union Gospel Mission is in the middle of tearing down old buildings on the south end of Third Avenue.
They bought the seven acre property about two years ago and now they're clearing it out. Eventually it will be a new men's facility, community outreach center, day room and courtyard.
"The next phase for us is just getting to a point in our fundraising where we can finish up the architectural work and then hopefully by fall, that's our goal, to break ground next fall," said Andrew Porter with the Union Gospel Mission.
The Mission still needs two and a half million dollars to finish the project. That will help pay for design and then construction of the new site.
