PASCO, WA - In a world where technology tends to dominate, it's still tough to replace something like a book. A new group is trying to make sure books don't lose their value.

In an era of high tech games and gadgets, books still hold a special place for kids. A new group has been formed within the Pasco Kiwanis with the goal to give a new book to every kindergartner in the Pasco School District.

They are selling See's Candy and accepting donations in their annual fundraiser to accomplish this dream. The chocolate bars will be sold for $2. The team with the dream includes Esther Chavez, Angel Melendez, Diana Vazquez and Lee Delamora.

They can be reached at pascosatelliteclub@gmail.com or through the Pasco Kiwanis.
