RICHLAND, WA - If you are looking for even more ways to get into the spirit of the season, there is quite a scene for you to take in all week in Richland.
Hundreds of nativity scenes from all around the world; some have even been displayed in national shows. They range from paper dolls to pewter sculptures; even toilet paper roll figures. The collection is Neil Allen's. He has been searching for new and interesting scenes for 21 years.
"To bring Christmas to people's homes in a different way through art, through stories, through mediums...it develops a sense for different cultures," said Allen.
The scenes are on display all this week at Northwest United Protestant Church in Richland from 10 am to noon, 2-4 and 6-8. It is free of charge but they are accepting offerings of donations and canned food.
