PREVIOUS STORY:

New information has been released on the ongoing trial of former teacher Ryan Murphy, who is accused of having a sexual relationship with a 16 year old student.

Friday, Murphy pleaded guilty to fourth degree Assault with Sexual Motivation.

According to court documents, Murphy carried on the relationship while the girl was in his English class. He also asked her for nude pictures, which she gave him. This resulted in a higher grade in his class. Murphy was placed on leave at Shadle Park High School last fall.

But this isn't the end of his trouble with the law. Murphy still faces one count of first degree Sexual Misconduct.

This guilty plea comes less than a month after he was thrown back in jail for contacting his alleged victims.

In court Friday, Murphy pled guilty assault with a sexual motivation after police say he was sexually involved with one of his students at Shadle Park. Court documents accuse Murphy of having sexual relationships with at least three of his students. Murphy is also accused of sending hundreds of inappropriate text messages to one of the girls he was having a relationship with.

After his arrest,  Murphy was ordered to have no contact with the alleged victims. But nearly a month ago prosecutors say he violated that order trying to contact one of the girls via social media and was thrown in jail.

Murphy will have his sentencing on the assault charge in January.
