NBCRightNow.com - For the last two and a half months, 13 schools around the Tri-Cities have been challenging one another to collect the most coats for our "Coats for Kids" drive.

On Monday, NBC Right Now, along with Kadlec and the Salvation Army, to announce the "Coats for Kids" school challenge winner.   

Pasco's Ruth Livingston Elementary gets the trophy for the sixth straight year. They brought in 729 coats.

"We try and remind the kids to give back to the community. We make announcements all the time so that's how we do it. We just try to give back," said Josi Geary.

Ruth Livingston Elementary will receive a $500 prize.

And each school that brought in more than 100 coats will receive a $200 dollar check from Kadlec.
