Kennewick Police Department: Daily Briefing: Sunday, December 8, 2013

Theft/500 blk S Dayton St- Officer Canada took a report of a purse that was left on the
bleachers during a wrestling tournament and went missing. The victim said the purse
contained 4 credit cards in her name, her passport and her checkbook.
Malicious Mischief/500 blk S Union St- Reporting party advised that sometime last
night, unknown suspect threw several rocks trough a couple of the building's windows.
No entry was made.
Warrant Arrest/2700 blk S Quillan St- Officers Meyer and Canada responded to Loss
Prevention officers following a male around the store who was shoplifting. Upon arrival
officers assisted in the stop and detained the subject, a 28 year old male out of
Hermiston, OR. He had an outstanding BCSO warrant for his arrest. He was booked into
jail for the warrant and the store will forward shoplift report.
B Squad
Assault DV/4th Ave & Green-
During roll call, a kidnapping call was dispatched. EDC was
listening to a 911 call from a cell phone of a female and a male. The female was
screaming and the male was yelling. The female said she was getting hit in the head
with a baseball bat and the male was demanding money. The female asked if she was
going to be kidnapped and the male said he was kidnapping her. A phone trace placed
the phone in the area of the blue bridge. An ATL was issued for the two and two
possible vehicles they might be in. Several possible locations were unsuccessfully
checked. Another phone trace was attempted and was successful, placing the in Pasco.
Officers Harris and Littrell responded there with Pasco units and Trooper Kaiser. It was
determined that the male had checked into the motel. The male and female were
located at the motel. She said she did dial 911 but did not mean to press the send
button. She said her head hurts but denied being assaulted or kidnapped. He admitted
to hitting her and was arrested for Assault DV. When he was searched incident to the
arrest Methamphetamine was located on his person. The male was booked into the
BCSO Jail for the Assault. A Protection Order was put in place. Pasco PD elected not to
charge the male with Possession of Meth and wanted the Benton County PA's office to
handle. The on call Benton County Prosecutor asked Officer Harris to forward his case
to the Franklin County PA's office. 
Domestic/3000 blk W 4th Ave- A Neighbor reported hearing an argument in the
residence and heard thing being thrown inside. Female was contacted and invited the
officers inside. She said she and her husband had been arguing and said nothing
physical took place. There were no visible injuries. Incident was verbal only.
Assault DV/800 blk W 4th Ave- Male and his girlfriend of 4 years were arguing. While
their 3 year old son watched he grabbed her by the wrists and took her phone. He then
punched a hole in the wall. He was arrested and booked for Assault 4 DV.
Theft/1300 blk W 10th Ave- Male reported that he had put $10,000.00 under the mat in
his trunk and loaned his car to a female. He said the money was gone when the vehicle
was returned. He said several days later he confronted her about the money. She said
that he had taken her shopping on Black Friday and spent at least $3,000.00. She said
that he did confront her about the missing money and said it was $30,000.00 first, then
$12,000.00 and then $10,000.00. She said she does not know anything about the
Malicious Mischief/2800 blk W Clearwater- LP said a female opened $132.00 worth of
merchandise and left the store. She was not seen actually concealing the items, but was
seen opening the items. She was found hiding in a van in front of the store. No items
were located on her. She was trespassed from the store and was cited and released for
Destruction/Damage of Property because the items she opened could not be sold.
