PASCO, WA - The Tri-Cities Animal Shelter in Pasco wants all their animals home for the holidays.

Earlier this month they began offering free adoptions for the first 40 pets to get adopted.

So far they have sent 27 pets to their new homes.

After all 40 animals have been adopted for free they will continue offering adoptions at half price through the end of the year.

"Holidays everybody wants to feel warm and fuzzy and we do too and our pets that we have here need to have that interaction with a family so far if they're in a shelter they haven't had much interactions so our hope is that they will get that and we'll get homes for them," said Tri-Cities Animal Shelter Executive Director, Angela Zilar.

Zilar explained their capacity is at one of their lowest points since they opened and they want to find homes for the remaining pets by Christmas.
