HERMISTON, OR - The Hermiston DMV field office is closed until repairs can be made to the interior after a water pipe burst in the ceiling. The office will remain closed at least this week.

DMV staff discovered water leaking from a pipe in the ceiling on Monday morning, likely a result of unusually cold weather. The pipe has been repaired, but the inside of the office must be dried and cleaned, and any damage must be repaired.

DMV has been working closely with the landlord to expedite the office repairs to resume service as soon as possible, but a reopening date is not yet known.

DMV has assigned the Hermiston staff to other DMV field offices, including the nearest alternative office in Pendleton.

DMV suggests that customers first check www.OregonDMV.com before visiting any field office in person. Customers can complete some DMV business online or find out how to make their visit as efficient as possible.
