National Teacher of the Year Jeff Charbonneau to Speak at Finley Elementary School Wednesday

FINLEY, WA - Zillah High School teacher and the 2013 National Teacher of the Year, Jeff Charbonneau, is bringing his message of positivity and the good things educators are doing to the Finley School District staff tomorrow, December 11, at Finley Elementary School.

Staff from all buildings in the school district will gather at their first district-wide Professional Learning Community (PLC) event beginning at 1:00 PM.

The Council of Chief State School Officers named Charbonneau as the 2013 National Teacher of the Year in April 2013. Charbonneau currently teachers 9th-12th grade Chemistry, Physics and Engineering at Zillah High School and has been praised for his message that refutes our nation is one of failing schools. The district administration team in Finley invited Charbonneau to provide a motivational presentation to staff at their December 11 district-wide PLC. His positive energy and focus on celebrating success is a timely send-off for staff before winter break.
