The home-builder donates a portion of their sales every year to their foundation known as First Story. In return, First Story gives back to local organizations in communities where the company builds homes.
"I'm really pleased with the support of partners like Hayden Homes and First Story, to be able to underwrite the cost of our kids coming to clubs. For our traditional club sites, it's a $10 a year membership, so this donation...makes clubs a reality for many kids in our community," said Brian Ace, the executive director of the Boys & Girls Club of Benton and Franklin Counties.
Hayden Homes gave away 11 other checks to area organizations Wednesday, totaling around $56,000.
The Boys & Girls Club of Benton and Franklin Counties has 11 club locations in the Tri-Cities area. The club serves more than 700 children, from kindergarten to high school.
