Cougars' Bucannon Earns Senior Bowl Honor

Washington State University senior safety Deone Bucannon has been selected from senior players from around the country to play in the Senior Bowl, a showcase for the NFL draft, on Jan. 25, and has accepted the invitation according to the Reese's Senior Bowl website.

Bucannon has been the Cougars' top defensive back for the past two seasons, racking up 215 total tackles, nine interceptions and four forced fumbles over the past couple of years.

“That was true honor,” Bucannon said about the Senior Bowl. “That’s something you dream about as a kid and it’s all just kind of hitting me. I just want to get out there and represent Washington State the best I possibly can, and represent my family the best I possibly can, and just do what I can and control what I can control.”

The game will be played in Mobile, Alabama at Ladd-Peebles Stadium, the home of the University of South Alabama Jaguars and the GoDaddy.com Bowl.  The Senior Bowl will be aired live on the NFL Network.
