A convenience store in Browne's Addition was robbed at gunpoint Thursday night.

Police say a man walked into the Sunset Grocery with a gun, demanded money and then fled the scene on foot. Police arrived quickly and set up a large perimeter in the area. A K-9 Unit was brought in to track the suspect and led police to a vacant house a few blocks away from the store near Second and Cannon.

Police blocked off the area and attempted to make contact with anyone who may have been inside. After no success, police made entry into the home and cleared it. No one was found inside.

Police have cleared the scene, but are still looking for the suspect. He is described as a white man, about 5'10"- 6'0" with a skinny build. He was wearing a black hoodie, jeans, and was covering his face with a bandana.

If you have any information on the suspect or his whereabouts, please call Crime Check at 456-2233.
