YAKIMA, WA - The Yakima Arboretum's annual Luminaria lighted walk starts Friday night.

You can go to the Arboretum and see a lighted display of 1000 luminaries and different Christmas light displays.

Organizers said this is now a tradition in the community that has people coming back every year.

"It's been very popular in the community.  It's a free event and there are many families, multi-generations that come out here to enjoy the event.  It's sort of a non-commercial way to enjoy friends and family," said Co-Executive Director Jheri Ketcham.

The event runs from 6:00 to 10:00 Friday and Saturday night. It is free but donations to the Arboretum are welcome.

At the end of the mile-long walk, there will be live entertainment and hot drinks to warm you up.
