Spokane County Sheriff Ozzie Knezovich and his wife were involved in a traffic accident Thursday night.

Police say the Sheriff's unmarked car was rear-ended by a pickup truck near 3rd and Havana.

Deputy Mark Gregory with the Spokane County Sheriff's Office says that both Knezovich and his wife were transported to the hospital as a precaution, as both were experiencing pain. They were released Thursday night.

The driver of the pickup truck was not injured, but she will be cited.
