RICHLAND, WA - Students at Richland High School are spreading a little bit of holiday cheer.
On Wednesday, the school's executive council delivered bags of gifts to Marcus Whitman Elementary School in Richland. The gifts are going to 68 students throughout the Tri-Cities, ranging from elementary school to high school.
Every year, each homeroom at Richland High adopts a student and buys gifts based on what the student wants.
"We're helping our community. We're helping our fellow Bombers and their families and for us, it's just about making someone's Christmas morning special in our community," said Jenna Damberg, a member of the executive council.
This is the third year students at the school have donated gifts to local students during Christmas. The gift exchange was done anonymously and students were selected based on need.
