Adalya Breaux was in jail on residential burglary and theft charges.She was in belly chains, ankle restraints, and handcuffs but that didn't stop her. During her short walk from the Courthouse to the Jail, she ran from the armed deputies (well waddled from all of the restraints) and attempted to hide under a deck. She was quickly apprehended and booked back into jail with an additional felony charge of 2nd-degree escape.

DALLAS - KHQ has learned the loss prevention officer shot at a Home Depot store in Dallas Tuesday afternoon had recently moved to Texas from Spokane. Two police officers and a loss prevention officer were shot at the home improvement store on Tuesday. One of the officers died and the other is in critical condition in the hospital.

Layla is seven and a half years old and 2,300 pounds and lives at Brookfield Zoo. Zoo officials say the scan was needed to diagnose an obstruction in Layla's nasal passageway that made it difficult for her to breathe.

Betina Hald Engmark told a Copenhagen court she would appeal Wednesday's sentence, the longest possible against her client. SPOKANE, Wash. - Spokane police say a pedestrian is dead after they were hit by a car near 3rd and Liberty Park Place east of downtown Spokane Tuesday night. Neighbors in the area called police after hearing a crash, coming out to investigate and finding a person in the street. Arriving officers and medical crews began lifesaving efforts, but were not successful and the pedestrian died.
