PASCO, WA- There are plenty of charities collecting food and supplies for people in need this season, but Saturday one food drive was focused on helping our furry friends.

Saturday was the annual food and supply drive at the Tri-Cities Animal Shelter in Pasco. Mid-Columbia Gymnastics played host to an open house where people could stop by to walk or pet some of the animals and help fill the space beneath their tree with food and supplies for the animals in need.  Volunteers at the shelter say they can always use more people to come and befriend some of the animals.

"The animals that are here are getting help. They're being loved and being cared for and animals being cared for are generally very nice," said volunteer Cameron Blunck.

The Animal Shelter accepts donations of animal food and supplies throughout the entire year.
