Ski Bluewood Terrain Parks is now open for their 35th season of business.
DAYTON, WA - Ski Bluewood Terrain Parks is now open for their 35th season of business.
The ski area opened on Christmas Eve, complete with special opening day lift ticket rates. Tuesday's mountain conditions include temps in the lower 30s with a lot of sunshine. Skiers can expect a machine groomed packed snow surface with a bit more variable surface in the lower elevations. Bluewood says skiing is currently nicer on the upper two-thirds of the mountain.
Bluewood is warning however that early season conditions do exist. They are asking everyone to be cautious and beware of unmarked obstacles. They recommend to stay on groomed runs only and if you choose to ski other areas, utilize extreme caution in doing so. No tree skiing is permitted.
The ski area is closed on Christmas Day. Operations then resume on December 26 for daily operations through January 5.
