1/4 cup water
walnuts, 1/4 pound (shelled & chopped)
1 cup sugar
1) Preheat oven to 325°.2) Whisk eggs and water together in a large mixing bowl
3) Add walnuts to egg mixture and combine well. Add 1/2 cup of sugar and combine.4) Place walnuts through a wire strainer to remove most (not all) of egg mixture. Add walnuts back to large mixing bowl.
5) Add remaining 1/2 cup sugar and combine.6) Spread walnuts evenly onto parchment paper and bake for 25-35 minutes. Rotate the pan about 15 minutes in to ensure even baking.You can make this recipe your own by adding cinnamon, nutmeg or even pumpkin pie spice to add a little kick! These nuts go well on a salad, as part of a dessert or to snack on!
